I had some questions when i used ota .

goal : No need for a backup upgrade because of limited flash, the new apploader directly overwrites the old application, but can't overwrite the old apploader and then use the new apploader to update the new application.

My old application is about 280KB including apploader (About 35KB in .map file.) I need one storage slot , so i did not modify the 'bootloader-storage-internal-single-512k' demo.(start address 278528, less than 280KB, larger than 35KB).

i clicked 'full update' in silabs android app when i connected the target. The app then reported an error 'discovery service timeout' and closed the connection. But it seems that Apploader update succeed as i saw device named 'OTA' on the scan list. Then I click on 'partial update' to complete the update of the remaining new application.The app reported an error 'GATT req not supported'.

Q1:Can Iuse this usage?

Q2:What could be the cause of these two errors? ?

  Yes, the setup that you described looks good to me. The slot does not need to be large enough to fit the entire application image. For full update, it is enough if the slot is large enough to fit the apploader (about 40kB, more details about apploader size in UG136 Chapter 7)

  When the application image (application.gbl) is uploaded, it will be copied directly to the final destination in flash. Details of the procedure are listed in this KB article:
