How to activate Windows XP without a key. It’s possible that none of the keys above are working for you. But there is a solution. Thankfully, you can install and then activate Windows XP without using a key. Here’s how to do it. Click on the Start button in Windows. Now open the Run dialogue box. Type “Regedit” and hit Enter. Editing the registry
Begin by opening the Registry Editor and navigating to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftWindowsNTCurrent VersionWPAEvents
In the right pane, right-click the ODBETimer binary value and select Modify. Change at least one character of this value to either a number from 0 to 9 or to a letter from A to F, then click OK and close the Registry Editor. This renders the current product key invalid and deactivates Windows.
Now, it’s time to reactivate Windows using your new product key. Click Start Run and enter the command:
%systemroot%system32oobemsoobe /a
where %systemroot% is your Windows directory. In many cases, this command will look like:
C:windowssystem32oobemsoobe.exe /a
At this point, Windows will launch the Product Activation Wizard.
Follow the activation wizard and select phone activation.

Activate Windows Xp Home

1. Click on Start and then Run.

2. In the text box in the Run window, type regedit and click OK. This will open theRegistry Editor program.

3. Locate the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE folder under My Computer and click on the (+)sign next the folder name to expand the folder.

10. In the text box in the Run window, type the following command and click OK.

11. When the Let's activate Windows window appears, choose Yes, I want to telephone a customer service representative to activate Windows and then click Next.

12. Click the Change Product Key button at the bottom of the window.

    Don't worry about filling anything out on this screen.

13. Type your new, valid Windows XP product key in the New key: text boxes and then click the Update button.
