Hi All,
here's my first post:
I'm trying to setup a simulation-enviroment with plcsim and WinCC Flexible 2007 (OP77A).
According to the help in WinCC Flexible this is called 'integrated mode'. I tried (among other) the following steps:
  • download program to plcsim (PC Adapter(Auto) and MPI address set to 2) and put PLC in RunP
  • started integrated WinCC Flexible project and chose StartRuntime via Project>Compiler
With the following result: the panel pops up but instead of readable data I get the, now annoying, 'stars'.
The above is all done with the following versions
  • WinXP SP2
  • Step7 v5.4 SP3
  • PLCSim v5.3 SP1
  • WinCC Flexible 2007.
I'm out of ideas at the moment. Do you guys have any clues/ideas how to get this work??
Ciao,
Surfpimp...

Well, i'm still walking...

Hi surfpimp,
Ok, let's try the following:
Set PG/PC interface to PC-adapter (MPI), instead of auto.
I guess you have programmed an In/output field in OP77A. Please make sure it has the right properties. (I mean when your field isn't long enough, it will show the stars.)
Best regards,
Wizard

Hi Wizard,
i tried the config with PC adapter set to MPI but with no effect.
All fields are ok because when I use the configured hardware (PLC and OP) everything works fine. In a simulated enviroment (whitout PLC and OP) with PLCSim and WinCC Flex runtime it doesn't.

Hi surfpimp,
Have you tried another project, with another panel. Did it also not work?
Perhaps something went wrong when installing software, so you should reinstall it

Hi All,
I figured it out:
Setting up a simulation enviroment (with an OP77A) between WinCC Flexible Runtime and PLCsim is not possible because Linux is used as OS for the OP77A. Panels without the Windows CE 3.0/5.0 OS will not run properly with the runtime/PLCsim combination.

Hello surfpimp,
Thank you for feedback.
But I'm a little suprised , because I have simulated an OP77A in combination with PLCSim.
The only difference is, I have PLCsim v5.4

Wizard

The same problem. Attached simple project with OP77B and just one variable (MD0). No communication between WinCC Flex simulator and PLCSim.
