this is one of the reason I never drink . so I won't be oblivious to whatever happens around me. in a way I blames Garth. he was hammered, he becomes vunerable and oblivious to situation.

I've discovered Penny Jordan's books with Harlequin Presents. This was the first time I've read a much longer novel from her and I was not disappointed. Intertwining stories, huge secrets and white hot passion exploded off the pages! If you love Penny Jordan, you'll love this book and if you've never read anything by her, this is a good place to start!
A good attempt to show the seedier side of living and spiraling lives but the book falls flat due to the protagonist whom i could not relate to. Claudia, comes across as immature woman; my sympathies lay with her estranged husband. He is literally raped by one of her clients whom she is in a co-dependent relationship with, yet all she can say is ' you slept with another woman' and decides to divorce him. She is obviously depressed due to the loss of her child and attaches rather obsessively to h..more
