I've seen this keyboard controller mentioned in archived threads that I cannot comment on, so I thought I would start this thread as a warning to all of those looking for polyphonic aftertouch keyboards (pressure sensitive on each key rather than all keys on the same channel).

The Roland / Edirol does NOT HAVE IT. I found this out the hard way after buying one today and putting it through the wringer.

YES, you can find it on a lot of lists in archived threads all over the world (including on defunct sites thanks to the aging hyperworld)

YES, it is listed as transmitting Key's and Ch's Aftertouch in the MIDI implementation chart in the manual (page 91)

BUT: go one page further to the Specifications on page 91 and find this:

'PCR-300: 32 keys (with velocity and channel aftertouch)

PCR-500: 49 keys (with velocity and channel aftertouch)

PCR-800: 61 keys (with velocity and channel aftertouch)'

Read more in the manual and you'll find that you can assign poly aftertouch to the pads, but not the 61-key keyboard.
