Digital Rev Counter

I bought this little car a few weeks ago to use as a motorhome tow car (and also because it was extremely cheap). It's an 899cc SX model with somewhere in the region of 60k on the clock. It was in very good condition and drives really well. The only down side was that the driver's seat was a little ripped on the bolster.

I didn't really plan on doing anything at all with it other than getting it on the road and using it to tow behind my camper van.
However last week I spotted another one for sale, this time a 1.1 sporting model. I originally enquired about it with the idea of just getting the interior from the car for my blue one but for the price he wanted for the whole car meant it was probably better just taking the whole thing.
So last night my father in law and myself embarked on a trip up to Londonderry to pick this one up:

It's a southern reg and it didn't have a log book so I probably can't get it on the road. It's been lying for around 6 years and all 4 tyres are totally knackered. Believe it or not there are only 55,000 genuine miles on it although it looks like there's a lot more from the outside. It starts and drives perfect.
A quick power wash down and it started to look more like a 55k car (Jimny also got a wash too while I was at it - first time since the off roading day):

I will be taking the interior out of this one and putting into my blue one because it is immaculate. I don't know what to do with the rest of it though. The guy I bought it off wanted to use it for the Seicento hill climb events and this got me interested in finding out more. I'd quite like to do this but it needs a roll cage and that would cost a lot more than the car did! Does anyone know more about these events? Do the cars have to be registered and MOT'd?
